ION CHANNEL BIOPHYSICS

biofisica.jpg

Ion channels are membrane proteins that control cell electrical signals in response to a variety of physical and chemical stimuli. We study how stimuli are perceived and transduced at the molecular level in order to understand common gating principles in voltage-gated and ligand-gated channels.
