STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY

We study the 3D structure of proteins ranging from bacterial antigens, viral enzymes and transcription factors to proteins involved in apoptosis and amyloidosis, through X-ray crystallography, biochemical, biophysical and computational approaches. We focus on structure-function relationships to develop small molecule inhibitors and vaccine components targeting specific pathologies.
